Class Feedback

University and Trend Setters

  • Ideas behind space invaders are good
  • Have no idea it's about coffee
  • The idea of old being renewed is interesting but maybe focus more on 'renewing' it- the games are just the original- feel outdated. Look at newer versions 'retro feel' of these games maybe
  • Intriguing idea of old being new
  • Good use of type
  • Make the game on lighter. Add more text. Feel like there is more info that the viewer needs to know. The image of the coffee cup is hard to see
  • It is good that you guys have arcade concept and it is good to see it looks fun but maybe make the colour lighter and contrast by heavy quotation eg it's not fun support fair trade. To be more critical I wouldn't read a lot of quotations and lettering
  • Didn't quite get the arcade one to start with- make it more clearly about coffee (not just a mug)
  • Does this apply to students? Do youth people get the reference? What's the message then clear up the type
  • Feels it's targeted towards gamers. I get the 'new trend" idea though
  • I think make the cup like thicker therefore people recognise that there is so etching
  • I like the idea and the illustration is cute
  • Not clearly about fair trade coffee
  • The game ones are not very effective compared to second development. Confused about topic. Interesting ideas
  • Looks fun but it looks like a gaming poster at the moment
  • Arcade games- gamers? I don't get it. Be the movement? Of what?
  • The computer one feels oppositional to the hand made nature of fair trade coffee
  • There are too many messages and things to reveal for a poster fair trade is no game
  • Looks like a board game poster. I couldn't really see the cups and the red dots at first time
  • Not too sure about the be the movement and how they illustrate fair trade
  • Audience is gamers? Old gamers? Don't get fair trade

Business Worker Class

  • Inforgrahics would be cool for another one
  • Needs to be more emotive, colour etc
  • Audience clearer for this one
  • Perhaps ass small amount of blue? Business colour to business poster (blue/ business and brown/ coffee)
  • Could the coffee be backed up with graphic then backed up with type then have body copy to back up. Coffee like pie chart
  • Infographic would be cool. I don't think it has enough emotion to contect with anybody towards the cause
  • The simple design is effective- however the fair trade side is not clear at all for me. Empower the people vs under pair wages contrasts well.
  • The simple idea is effective but think about relating it to the topic of fair trade
  • Nice clean imagery. Like the angled one as it works well with the "be the movement" as it looks like it's moving forward
  • Change the typeface on the vector one is nice. Shows emotive value. Plain/ boring coffee vs revolutionary fair trade empowering
  • Nice variety of text. Just seeing a coffee image with text, not a lot of deeper meaning? Is there are more rehetorical/ graphic way to do this?
  • Nice. Contrast. Simple. Minimalism
  • I really like the one with the white background simple and eye catching
  • The coffee. To empower the people is too wordy. The image is not clear as fair trade
  • Feels modern clean, get fair trade

Conclusion

Both can be developed into a more refined work based on feedback and then we shall make a decision based on the strongest work after that.
