In Class Activity - Annabel

My group had to analysis the websites from Bart Simpsons point of view. Bart is a rebel character who is only interested in participating if there is something in it for himself. He dislikes education and the government. He is also however, a child and therefore can be persuaded. 

Love Your Coast
Bart Would not be interested in a group activity to help clean up the coastline as he is never on the beach and has no interest in helping society for no reward besides knowing you did something right. To attract Bart to the idea of helping it needs to be be more attractive of a situation for him. Our group thought that if the event happened on a school day it would be more attractive to Bart as he misses out on work. It would also mean that he is surrounded by youth and his friends to talk to and hang out with while he's working. There would obviously be adult supervision but it would be mainly driven by youth making it more attractive and more like a fun idea rather then a chore to help out the adults/ parents. There could also be a competition for who picks up the most rubbish on the day to be rewarded with a small prize. Bart wouldn't need a large prize to win, he is more concerned about beating his pairs and the bullies in the school.

Fair Trade Coffee
Bart is not interested in drinking coffee at all let alone fair trade. He needs something to attract him to the event besides the coffee. We thought a good idea would be to market the event towards older and sophisticated women which would attract Bart into going to meet these ladies. Bart would want to impress the women he thinks he has a chance with so he would come to the event and try to learn about the fair trade ways of producing coffee to look interested in front of the older women.

Neighbours Day
Bart might be a little interested in having fun and eating food at a neighbours day, however in the end would most likely decide he is too cool to attend. This means we have to make the event look to appealing to him that he can't turn it down for it looks like too much fun. Our group came up with the idea to make the street a creepy night carnival with carnival games and candy and food to eat. Bart would be attracted to the carnival aspect and want to join in but would be attracted to medling around at the carnival with the ghostly nighttime theme. There would be games that he can play and beat people at and have a good time in general.
