Mood Board Feedback and Development

Pictured above is our first mood board we created before week 2 by combining our favourite aspects of our pervious themed mood boards. Today in class we received feedback on our ideas so far that we presented in class. Our most significant response was that our mood board was not defined enough and to all over the place and random. This we agreed with and had previously been thinking which had confused us as to defining our asthetic. In response to this advice we decided to go back to our previous mood boards and combine similar ones to give us a stylistic approach.

Our second price of advice given was related to our target audeience. The lecturer was impressed with the research done towards our audience (which had been our main focus last week as we felt we needed to nail it) however he thought the term 'hipster' was not defined enough and a little demeaning to be defined as. To counteract this we are narrowing down our audience as Wellington university students/ trend setters. This means it is now a lot easier to easly define weither a person is in the target audeience or not where previously it was a bit obscure.

Here we have our refined mood board created after our feedback. We combined two of our mood boards to give us a starting point which were 'Destressed/Grunge' and 'Retro/ Bold'. Here we picked out some of outer most successful images and moved on from there to gather imagery. This is the final asthetic we have chosen to work on for our project which is very 70's game arcade style. It's very much upbeat, fun and grungy playing on emphasising the positive aspects of Fair Trade Coffee. Next we want to work on researching rendering styles to find one that successfully enhances our idea and aesthetic.
